The Hoover Steam Vac Dual V is a great carpet cleaner for any household.
It has some niffy features that other carpet cleaners don’t have such as Hoovers patented SpinScrub technology. But it also has down sides also such as how long it takes to clean. But overall it’s a great carpet cleaner.
Before you read my review why not take a look at this short video about the Hoover Steam Vac Dual V and then below I’ll get into a detailed review.
This model by Hoover is definitely a more mid range carpet cleaner. The price point hovers around the $200 to $300 range depending on where you end up buying.
Hoover Steam Vac Dual V Technical Specs
So lets jump into some of the more technical specs first:
The problem with tradition carpet cleaning with soap and then drying is that you never get everything out of the carpet. Left over soap eventually damages carpet overtime leading to expensive costs with full carpet replacement.
MaxExtract technology has a special heating technology that will dry the carpet so all the excess liquid is removed. It’s really that simple. A dry carpet is good and a left over damp carpet is bad. MaxExtract helps you dry up as fast as possible!
Dual V Technology:
The Hoover Steam Vac Dual V MaxExtract utilizes wide nozzles so you can use it on a large surface. Nothing is more frustrating that having a small nozzle and having to clean a large carpet!
So what does Dual V tech do exactly? It’s quite simple really. You get equal sucking draw from each part of your carpet clean nozzle on the Hoover Steam Vac Dual V.
Imagine for a moment the cheap $30 vacuum that we are all guilty of having bought in the past. Yes, I’m looking at you right now! Don’t deny it haha!
Think about the underside of the nozzle. It’s just that one pipe doing the drawing so when the edges of the nozzle go over the carpet then it’s not giving you the same pulling power as the middle of the nozzle right? Are you following? Good!
So Dual V technology simple means that every single square inch of the nozzle of you carpet cleaner gets strong pulling force. This way the carpet you are cleaning gets cleaned properly with not dirt or grim left behind.
So that is it for the technical specs that are specific to the Hoover Steam Vac Dual V.
While I don’t think this is really a con as I know a lot about carpet cleaners being an ex-profession cleaner. But for the average person this would be a con so it’s in this section.
It will take you about 20 minutes to clean the Hoover Steam Vac Dual V. If that is a con for you. Well, I’ve leave that to your discretion. For me it’s not but for you it maybe.
My experience has seen me use 500+ cleaners ranging from cheap $30 products to expensive machines worth thousands. And based on my experience what I have to say is that Hoover has done a great job with this model. It might take about 20 minutes for you to clean but it’s very easy to do!
Because of the cleaning time needed I’m going to rate the Hoover Steam Vac Dual V a solid 4 our of 5 stars. It’s a great machine and I really love the MaxExtract technology as that helps your carpets dry faster.
If you need a good carpet cleaner to keep in the home and you don’t mind spending upwards of $300 I’d recommend you buy the Hoover Steam Vac Dual V MaxExtract.
Like usual everything I recommend is available on Amazon.
